Tree-lined street in Moreleta Park at golden hour

Community Upliftment Precinct · Pretoria East

Reclaiming Pretoria East —
Together.

Moreleta Park and the East of Pretoria face real challenges — crime, urban decay, informal settlements, illegal dumping, and neglect. The Community Caring Forum Group was formed because waiting for government alone is not enough.

Community Safety

Working with CPFs, security companies and residents to restore order on our streets.

Clean & Green

Cutting grass, clearing sidewalks, planting aloes, and restoring public spaces.

Infrastructure

Repairing potholes and pushing to fix streetlights in 2026/2027.

Accountability

Attending every Tshwane Public Participation Meeting that affects our suburbs.

Our framework

The Broken Window Theory

Coined in 1982 by James Q. Wilson and George L. Kelling, this criminology principle observes that visible signs of neglect, disorder, and minor crime contribute to a broader breakdown in community safety and lawfulness.

Every aloe planted, every pothole repaired, every cleared sidewalk is a small, deliberate act of restoration — and the foundation of everything we do.
